Four energetic dance embody Coltrane’s Thrilling jazz quartet
In A Love Supreme, Coltrane and his musicians improvise on a deceptively simple bass line, constantly pushing the boundaries of every musical register. In this dance performance too, the choreographers take on the challenge of interweaving improvisation and composition into a seamless whole. For this version, Sanchis and De Keersmaeker revised their 2005 choreography to fit four young male dancers.
