Become a friend
The Concertgebouw has many friends: among others, performers, audience members, employees and other cultural organisations, both at home and abroad. But did you know that you too can become a Friend of the Concertgebouw? By becoming one, you’ll show that you really care about what we are and what we do. And you’ll also be making a modest but very welcome financial contribution.
How to become a Friend
- A memberships cost € 85 and is personal.
- Booking your membership is automatically done when you book your subscription.
- As soon as you have become a Friend, you can use the automatically sent Friend code to book your free Friends Performance in a separate transaction.
Your benefits as Friend
- You can book your tickets before the official start of ticket sales (online or by appointment).
- You are the first to discover the new season. At a season preview presentation exclusively for Friends, Artistic Director Jeroen Vanacker and the artistic team introduce the season and provide an explanation.
- You are entitled to one or two tickets in category 1 for one of the three Friends performances. And afterwards you can have a cosy chat about it with other Friends over a complimentary drink.
- You get free visits to the Concertgebouw Circuit for one year.
- You are the first to hear the latest Concertgebouw news.
- You support the Makers of the Concertgebouw with your membership and follow their creative process from the front row.
- Friends get 50% discount on the opening performance by the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie on 13 Sep and can attend the opening of our seasonal artist's exhibition afterwards.
- On one afternoon of your choice, enjoy -50% on a lunch (excluding drinks) in our Concertgebouw Café*. You can pick up your discount voucher at the counter in the Entrance Hall from September 2024.
- * This discount is only valid for Friends and can be redeemed from Friday 13 September 2024 to Sunday 23 June 2025 during our afternoon shift.
