New York's Bang on a Can All-stars are as legendary as many of the works they have created. They refuse to choose between avant-garde and rock, or between brutal and melodic. But that latter is undoubtedly the main ingredient of Brian Eno's Music for Airports. Eno composed MfA as a counterbalance to the irritating noises and uninspired soundscapes in airports. Add to it the energetic music of Bang on a Can cofounders David Lang and Michael Gordon and you are guaranteed a quirky, acrobatic and explosive concert!
