Maria Hassabi's choreographies focus on the relationship of the body to the still image, defined by fixation, slowing down and aesthetic precision. Her works draw their strength from the tension between the human subject and the artistic object, the dancer as a performer and as a physical entity. In Bruges station on Saturday she creates a performance, from morning to evening train.
