When Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker was rehearsing her Violin Phase in New York, in 1980, to the music of Steve Reich, the only other recording playing in the studio was Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. Today, more 35 years later, De Keersmaeker is again working with this music. ‘Like no other, Bach's music carries within itself movement and dance.’ Successful Baroque ensemble B'Rock play the concertos live under the direction of violinist Amandine Beyer.
