Everything is vibration: matter consists of vibrating particles, every living cell has an electromagnetic energy field that vibrates, and light and sound travel in vibrating waves. Both in ancient myths and in scientific theories creation is called the ‘primal vibration’. 300 million years ago, fish were the first living creatures to detect vibrations, an innovation that eventually resulted in the evolving of our own ingenious hearing. During this Deep Listening Day, physical vibrations from speakers transform into sound and music, we hear the rebirth of primal rhythms in surround sound, and we experience Ravel's ingenious clashing vibrations in the piano.
