Bach’s musical testament gets a fresh reading
In the late 19th century, Hans von Bülow called Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier ‘the Old Testament of keyboard music’. Beethoven's sonatas were its New Testament. Elina Albach – who performed in Bruges earlier, with her German ensemble Continuum – returns to the Bach Academy as a soloist, to convert us to Bach.
