Wafting gracefully across the stage, supple and serene, like translucent white flowers, eight dancers evoke the fairy-tale atmosphere of a Buddhist ritual, in which cares and concerns drift away and happiness takes their place. In Floating Flowers Taiwanese choreographer Po-Cheng Tsai – according to ballet and dance magazine Tanz, one of the world's most promising choreographers – created a beautiful, theatrical impression, in which his grief for his father's death is tempered by hope and joy inspired by the beauty of life.
