IN OTHER WORDS

Language and semiotics are central elements in the artistic work of Ingrid Berger Myhre (1987). This Norwegian choreographer completed the training cycle at P.A.R.T.S. last year and has since stayed on in Brussels. She is currently further developing what she had been working on at P.A.R.T.S.

 IN OTHER WORDS is a performance about how ‘literate’ dance can be. It develops the dance in the form of a physical dialogue, using rhetorical mechanisms as the dance-compositional tools. In a light-hearted exchange in which four dancers paraphrase each other's dance back to back, Ingrid Berger Myhre makes us think about how dance speaks and how we can read it.  

 This work in progress marks the start of this performance’s second creative phase, before its definitive version is premiered in Oslo in April– and then closer to home at Spring Festival Utrecht.
