This setting invites the audience into the childhood memories of a rather absurd family, whose members are presented photographically and dynamically shaken.
The performance experiments with a new way of looking. A Tibetan singing bowl tells the audience when to open or close their eyes or to blink. In this way, their attention and perception are manipulated and guided.
JARDIN POILU is Francesca Chiodi Latini’s first group choreography. This young dancer has already appeared in works by Lisbeth Gruwez and Marcelo Evelin and she is scheduled to appear in a new work by Oriane Varak. She graduated from Artesis Hogeschool - Dance in 2017. She pitched the concept for this performance that same year (within the context of the Roel Verniers Prize of Het TheaterFestival).
During (B)its of Dance the company are sharing their creation with an audience for the first time. They are presenting the result of a three-week residency in the studio of KAAP | De Groenplaats.
