Ever since its first edition in 2002, Jazz Brugge has sailed a daring course by dedicating itself exclusively to European jazz. In this eighth edition of the festival, Jazz Brugge broadens its focus, but without compromising its tried and tested success formula of unique concert experiences in the exceptional setting of the Concertgebouw.
Anno 2018 the jazz scene has changed dramatically. More than ever, the genre is incorporating outside elements, both geographic and musical, thanks to which it is updating itself organically. With the theme Crossing Cultures, Jazz Brugge highlights this evolution. Be pleasantly surprised by musical influences from every corner of the world and enjoy born musicians from Albania, Armenia, Senegal, Morocco, Iraq…
