The living archive of Bruges’ movement profile
Katja Heitmann is looking for small, everyday and local gestures which together form the movement profile of the city of Bruges. For this purpose, she is setting up a movement image database where every citizen of Bruges can donate his movements in the form of motion interviews. Together with ten dance performers, she studies the collected material and then literally embodies it. Afterwards they present it to an audience as a still life that does not stand still. The result is a living catalogue of Bruges' movement material, a performance in slow motion.
