Repetitive micro dance swells into a wave of movement

Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos is famous for his unique movement language. He created Mycelium for twenty absolute top dancers from the Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon and it is a match made in heaven. Mycelium is a reference to the vast underground network of fungal threads that interconnect with the roots of plants and trees. This natural organism inspired Papadopoulos in his search for a new form of collectivity. The result: a sensitive network of inscrutable organic interactions that develop on stage between the dancers.
