The ensemble Nevermind, with laureate Jean Rondeau, explores the genealogy of French chamber music. Jean-Philippe Rameau followed in Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre’s footsteps when he wrote harpsichord works with violin and viol accompaniment. And in François Couperin’s Les Nations, Corellian trio sonatas expose themselves as swinging suites in the French style.
