In his often award-winning work, Catalan choreographer Marcos Morau refers just as readily to Renaissance art as he does to the films of David Lynch, or to the contemporary dance of Jirí Kylián and William Forsythe. Together with some like-minded artists, he founded the company La Veronal, which works with dance, film, literature and photography. In his disconcerting Pasionaria, he lets the deepest human obsessions and passions flare up.
