It is not without reason that Mozart’s last symphony was nicknamed Jupiter: a symphony full of extremes, power and spirit. The charismatic conductor Pierre Bleuse adorns Mozart’s jubilant sounds with bright elegance. Notice how different the colour palette of Haydn’s first cello concerto is: brilliant, fresh and full of confidence. The Swedish cello phenomenon Jakob Koranyi interprets Haydn’s gem in a light and subtle emotional way. Albert Roussel’s elegant Sinfonietta completes the picture.
