New arts festival links heritage to contemporary performing arts
This summer, Brugge Plus launches a brand new arts festival at various open-air locations, on and around the canals. Its focus is on new creations. In the first edition – which is built around the theme Faith – the Concertgebouw is supporting two projects: Benjamin Verdonck – known for his wonderful table-sized theatres and viewing cabinets – performs live in the Joseph Ryelandt Hall with organist Iris Eysermans; and young theatre-maker Barbara T'Jonck presents a new podcast-walk for the city.
