This latest creation by Australian Dance Theatre bears choreographer Garry Stewart’s characteristic signature: strong physical dance language interspersed with elegant movement, a generous dose of electronics, handsome visuals and an ingenious décor. The Beginning of Nature is based on natural rhythms, such as day and night, the seasons and the tides. Brendan Woithe’s spell-binding score includes a libretto sung by two vocalists in Kaurna, the indigenous first language of the Adelaide Plains.
