December Dance 2018 closes strongly with the intriguing triple bill Time. With an absurdist eye for detail, New Zealander Ross McCormack (a former les ballets C de la B dancer) presents a futuristic work in which indecision and obsession are central. For his quartet, Korean choreographer/composer KIM Jae Duk draws on the themes meditation and attack. The dynamic score is by his own hand. Australian choreographer Stephanie Lake ends with a piece that reflects the beauty and brutality of nature.
After the performance, we celebrate the end of the December Dance festival with the jazzy-elektro-flitchy-retro-funky artpop band Bombataz and DJ Fallujah . This free party takes place in the entrance hall of the Concertgebouw.
