Explosive action-painting performance by and for children

A group of children, a few packets of Wasco crayons, plenty of paint and jazz – that is WASCO! Paint brushes and crayons in hand, ten young performers – between 6 to 12-years old – create a world far removed from that of ‘the grown-ups’. Exploring the confluence of music, drawing and dance, choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez, musician Maarten van Cauwenberghe and the children develop a soundtrack in which there is room to colour outside the lines. The result is an exceptional painting: uninhibited, chaotic, wild… and occasionally gentle.
