Powerful cross between techno and folkdance
Raving is timeless – people have always danced together intensively. In While we are here, Lisa Vereertbrugghen explores our endless urge to dance together hard. To that end, she invited dancers Claire Godsmark, Dolores Hulan, Eimi Leggett and Castélie Yalombo Lilonge to combine hardcore rave and folk dance. Together – with no hint of nostalgia or a predefined vision of the future – they bring us a hybrid-techno-folk that disrupts control whilst celebrating collective physicality.
