In this photo exhibition we zoom in on the spectacular bird migration bottleneck in Batumi, Georgia. Every autumn the sky above this port city on the Black Sea turns black as thousands of harriers, black kites, eagles and falcons travel south to spend the winter. A must see for every bird watcher and nature lover! Writer Barbara De Conick visited Batumi and returned with a backpack full of stories about her encounters with passionate conservationists, bird counters, and a writer/photographer.
