A Baroque ballroom makes you move differently to the way you would in a post-industrial nightclub. In An Evening-length Performance, James Batchelor and his dancers explore the reasons why this is so. This stimulating dance performance zooms in on the subtle interplay of architecture, social experiences and time-specific movement conventions.
