A fresh future for the festival
A new decade opens a new chapter for December Dance. The Bruges partners of Flanders’ largest festival of contemporary dance have chosen for innovative dance programming, unbounded by curator or geographical region. Witnessing the ongoing dramatic climate change with dismay, choreographers explore mankind’s place on our planet. Where do we fit in? And how can we integrate into our ecosystems more sustainably? With coproductions and premieres by leading Flemish and international choreographers, such as Meg Stuart, Jan Martens, Flora Détraz and Michiel Vandevelde, the festival is already making a lasting contribution.
December Dance had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
