Anima blow new life into two 19th-century masterpieces. In Berwald’s Septet, for wind instruments and strings, 'the greatest Swedish composer' shows himself to be surprisingly modern and highly original. Schubert’s Octet is a virtuoso finger exercise in preparation for the 'Grosse Sinfonie'. Anima have brought together a group of orchestral musicians with a love of chamber music, led by violinist Jakob Lehmann. Their subtle ensemble brings them even closer to the mythical composers!
