A melting pot of traditions and experiments
American soprano Claron McFadden knows her own voice through and through. She sings just about everything: from grand opera to ingenious Bach and sophisticated jazz. The musicians of the Arifa ensemble are masters of combining elements of Western and Eastern music, which they play in traditional, jazzy and contemporary ways. Especially for this performance, they are joining forces to compose a new work inspired by the festival theme. These artists can’t be labelled. This evening there is simply music.
