Queen Elisabeth Competition winners gather around the piano

In 2001 Latvian violinist Baiba Skride won the Queen Elisabeth Competition. Since then she has enjoyed runaway fame. For us – together with another winner cellist Victor Julien-Laferrière, her sister pianist Lauma Skride and violist Lise Berthaud – she tames the passionate, virtuoso piano quartets of Mendelssohn and Enescu.
