The adventurous Goeyvaerts String Trio join forces with the singers of Cappella Mariana and with Concertgebouw Maker Catalina Vicens. Together they present a programme that searches between light and dark for the roots of the earliest polyphony and eventually arrive at Pärt's longing for Paradise in his heavenly Stabat Mater. From Perotinus to Machaut to great polyphonists such as Ockeghem and Josquin, music that was essential to Pärt in the search for his own voice.
