Hunger for eternal life
When he made his debut as Thomas cantor in 1723, Bach presented his ambitious cantata BWV75, which was received with warm applause. Spiritual sustenance and heavenly riches are also in store in the other works on the programme. Collegium Vocale Gent treat us to a comforting and beautiful evening.
Soprano Dorothee Mields unfortunately has to cancel her concerts during the Bach Academy due to illness. She will be replaced for this concert by Grace Davidson.
