Artistic interpretations of the planets
In 2006, inspired by the human presence in the universe, artist Karl Van Welden started his cycle United Planets. Each planet gets its own series within the cycle. Every part of this is different in design, size, use of material, media and space. Within the Mars series, he created, among other things, two videos and an installation: A Fall. In that latter; he stages a disaster scenario for a single object: a rain of ash gradually transforms a turntable into a fragile, purposeless object in a monochrome landscape.
Experience the performance of A Fall live, on Thursday 7 March at 20.00, in the Chamber Music Hall.
