Faune à l'est

This semester, the Ghent University Symphony Orchestra (GUSO) will warm you up with music from France to the East, together with concertpianist Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort. Step into the world of the mythological faun and travel through three enchanting pieces of Impressionist music. Start the journey with Debussy's L'après-midi d'un faune and follow the faun as he dances through the sensual and lyrical tones. Then the faun takes you to see Ravel's Piano Concerto in G, where he admires the virtuosity of the music and enchants you with its playful character. The journey ends in the East with Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, where you as an audience will be immersed in the mythical splendor of the music.
