Nostalgia for a lost landscape

Thanks to climate change, once familiar views are disappearing at an ever increasing rate. Such disappearances are often accompanied by a sense of loss, mourning and a fear of further ecological disasters. Pianist/composer Frederik Croene tries to capture this 'Solastalgia' in music. Parallel to these piano pieces, artist Karl Van Welden presents four videos of ships that had to deal with being put into quarantine. The result is a captivating and layered performance.
