At the centre of the stage there is a big magic box, a huge model of an old theatre. You might call it a ‘dream machine’. When the curtains open, miracles happen. You have to see it to believe it. Zonzo Compagnie pull out all the stops to sweep you up in a dream, into a wonderful world, for which Purcell wrote beautiful music. A singer and two musicians are the ideal partners to bring out Purcell’s musical colours. They guide you along the mysterious paths of the imagination.
