Marcel Proust’s magnum opus for piano, video and live electronics

Marcel Proust once compared his novel À la recherche du temps perdu to a cathedral and the same can be said about this performance. It is an edifice of sound and image, built on poetic-associative pillars. And just like Proust’s novel, this story has an impressive number of characters: from Couperin to Ligeti. Claude Debussy and the undeservedly little-known Gabriel Dupont are the main protagonists. The high-tech live video and electronics transform the Concertgebouw into a unique location where memories wash ashore and then ebb away.
