The baroque specialist Amandine Beyer and her Kitgut Quartet put the spotlight on a number of curtain tunes originally for four voices, from works such as Matthew Locke’s The Tempest and Henry Purcell’s Timon of Athens. She also pays homage to the 'Father of string quartets', Joseph Haydn, with the virtuosic and innovative String Quartet op. 71 nr. 2.
