What Libeer Julien and Camille Thomas have already accomplished at their young age borders on the improbable. Rather than flood you with a list of superlatives, we’ll let you discover their talents yourself in this recital for thoroughbred romantics. In his Fantasiestücke, Schumann gives free rein to his poetry: from the gossamer delicacy of the first movement to the untameable passion of the finale. César Franck - 'the Belgian Brahms' - wrote his famous Sonata in A as a wedding gift for the violinist Eugène Ysaÿe. During the wedding party the groom already picked up his violin to try out his gift. Prokofiev, on the other hand, dedicated his Cello Sonata to cello legend Msystlav Rostropovich. Libeer and Thomas convince us all with their adventurous interpretation of these three masterpieces.
