Le Dernier Appel is a unique, intercultural dance production, with dancers of first nation, immigrant and settler descent from Australia and New Caledonia. In it choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly investigates the cultural and political sensitivities that arise with the possible independence of a colony such as New Caledonia. The title Le Dernier Appel suggests a final call to action, but it is simultaneously the first cry of a new world.
