In Pelléas et Mélisande Debussy finally found the visual language he had long wanted to couple with his music. Sadly, the story of that ill-fated love triangle was destined to be his only finished opera. In this new Opéra de Lille production, Daniel Jeanneteau & Marie-Christine Soma throw light on some of the mysteries surrounding Debussy's enigmatic work. The Concertgebouw takes us along on a trip to Lille and to a dark fantasy world.
