Giants draw inspiration from folklore

Folk music is always a bit like coming home and composers are well aware of that. Russian-Dutch top violinist Liza Ferschtman gets homey with Bartók's miniatures, which are full of Hungarian folk melodies, with Brahms’ piano quartet, which is oozing with gypsy folklore, and with Enescu’s Third Sonata, which is written in the Romanian popular style.
