Few composers’ music is as imaginative as that of Edvard Grieg. For the 66 little gems of his Lyric Pieces, his main source of inspiration were the landscape and legends of his native Norway. Amidst a selection of these pieces, Matthieu Idmtal introduces excerpts from Grieg’s legendary Peer Gynt. In short, we are in for a musical walk through the dense forests and along the clear fjords of Norway, in the company of elves and trolls.
