Opus One '21

Every year in Belgium hundreds of photographers graduate from art colleges, part-time art education or adult education. In the exhibition Opus One – which focuses attention on a selection of their graduation projects – BREEDBEELD offers these budding talents a wider platform for their work and the stories they want to tell. The Concertgebouw is happy to support to BREEDBEELD for this third edition of Opus One. This time the exhibition will have a special international section, featuring works by a number of Finnish photography students. In this way, it will establish a dialogue between these fascinating Fins and the latest generation of Belgian photographers.

The exhibition’s selection includes the works of fourteen Belgian and five Finnish photographers: Dirk Bouwen, Wendy Coveliers, Barbara Debeuckelaere, Linda Dejonghe, Joëlle Dewinter, Jonne Heinonen, Jaime Korbee, Santtu Laine, Rasmus Mäkelä, Sofie Meysman, Veera Nivalainen, Iiri Poteri, Marie-Sol Sebrechts Gillain, Seppe Van Craywinkel, Sandy Van Damme, Luc Van Den Bosch, Luka Van der Cruyssen, Floor Van Hoof and Ilse Verstraete.
