How do you plan for chance? In Probabilities of Independent Events, Grace Ellen Barkey asks absurd and quirky questions about the (im)probability of things. Barkey’s productions inhabit the area where visual art, dance and performance come together. Musical dramaturgy always plays a central role. The Needcompany orchestra and fourteen dancers from the Antwerp Conservatory draw from pop and folk songs by Zappa, Queen and other musical icons.
