Who could ever forget Quatuor Ebène’s impressive performance of all of Beethoven’s string quartets? In full corona crisis, they filled the Concertgebouw with unearthly beauty for six evenings. With their unerring sense of orientation, they now guide the listener through Ravel's only string quartet and through Bach’s music, in arrangements by Dubugnon. In Schumann's vulnerable last string quartet, traces of those other greats, Mozart and Beethoven, can be heard.
