And in her Piano Trio in G minor Clara Wieck-Schumann takes us from the one popular romantic melody to the other. Frank Martin, on the other hand, drew his inspiration from traditional Irish folk tunes: resulting in lively rhythms, spirited chords and haunting melodies. You can almost imagine yourself in a bustling Irish pub on Saint Patrick's Day.
