MAfestival opens with a city trip to 17th-century London. It was there that Henry Purcell created his most famous dramatic opera King Arthur, in 1691. In the libretto, rival kings Arthur and Oswald rely on the assistance of sorcerers and spirits - on land, at sea and in the air.
