20 years of the Concertgebouw

20 years of the Concertgebouw

20.02.2002 at 20.02: this iconic timestamp is etched into in the memory of the Concertgebouw community. Over the past two decades, the Concertgebouw has developed into an internationally respected art institution that is firmly embedded in the hearts and minds of music and dance lovers. So 20 years later, we celebrate, with a world premiere by Rosas, a new David Claerbout work for our art collection, a picture book for families and beautiful music by Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, introduced by Season's Thinker David Van Reybrouck. For the occasion, our anniversary building itself will also be put in the spotlight ... Come and celebrate, look back and forward with us and our partners!

To our great regret, the two concerts by Anima Eterna Brugge and Vox Luminis, on 19 and 20 February, cannot take place. Numerous uncertainties make it impossible for our teams to present such a large-scale production with musicians from more than ten different countries at short notice. We look forward to welcoming Anima Eterna Brugge and Vox Luminis again later this season.
