LASSUS, the penitential psalms (22-26.05.19)

How do we deal with confession and penance today? Led by Lassus's penitential psalms , documentary maker Griet Teck and Musica have been talking to three women in the prison of Bruges for several months. Within the confines of the prison’s walls and strict regulations, a microcosm unfolds. While the women themselves cannot be portrayed, and with music as a means and the texts of the Old Testament as a source of inspiration, Griet Teck draws an intimate portrait of three women and their experience of penance and guilt. The documentary (in Dutch) is shown at the Concertgebouw Circuit during the Lassus week, as well as after the concert of the Vocalconsort Berlin on May 25.
