Impressive. That adjective applies equally well to Handel and to audience favourite Dmitry Sinkovsky. After his fairy-tale rendition of Vivaldi’s Seasons in 2018, Sinkovsky returns to Bruges with B’Rock for two more classics: Handel's complete Water Music – which George I insisted on hearing no less than three times as his royal barge sailed along the Thames – and the Music for the Royal Fireworks. Despite hopeless traffic jams on London Bridge, its premiere was a dynamite hit. And it has still lost none of its power.
