The Canadian Hannah Epperson has quite a few strings on her bow: top athlete in the Canadian national Ultimate Frisbee team, talented violist and fantastic songwriter. As a real ‘millennial artist’, Epperson switches effortlessly between experimental bedroompop and classic folk. Literally. In 2016 she released the bipolar Upsweep, a record where every song was brought in a classical and electronic version.
In February, the next album Slowdown will be released. On the pre-release single ‘20/20’, she broadens her sound spectrum with bits of jazz and synthpop. A big leap forward by an extremely talented artist. Fans of Sylvan Esso, Julia Holter and Hundred Waters better get this show on their calendar.
