Our season’s thinker Dalilla Hermans reads from her children's book Brown Girl Magic, a story about a brown girl in the white West. The moral of the story is clear: whether you are white or black, bullying is wrong. A heavy topic? Not when it flows from the invigoratingly original pen of Dalilla Hermans. Illustrator Fatinha Ramos previously won the prestigious Global Illustration Award (the Oscar of the illustration world). Every page of Brown Girl Magic tells us why. This reading session is followed by a creative workshop.
